Lancaster Based PPM Real Estate sells Property Management Portfolio to Sherman Commercial

PPM Real Estate and Progressive Property Management, Inc., have been a prominent part of the Real Estate activities in Lancaster County for more than 30 years. Their contributions can be seen in every part of Lancaster, from the management and sales of some of the most historic buildings in downtown Lancaster to the participation in major economic projects as well as budding businesses, non-profits, retail, office, and industrial properties.  Tracy Horst opened her business in 1990, focusing primarily on property management and grew into sales and leasing after the needs of her clients expanded. Her daughter, Corinn Kirchner, who has been part of the company for 15+ years, became partner in 2020 as VP of Sales and Leasing. Their partnership continued to build on the reputation and relationships of PPM Real Estate, leading the industry in excellence and reliability. The owners, Tracy Horst, and Corinn Kirchner, are engaged in numerous boards and volunteer positions influencing the social, economic, and wellness of Lancaster.

This past year, Tracy and her husband welcomed their fourth grandson, adding to the joyful chaos that is involved in grandparenting toddler boys. Navigating her growing family while being active in a fast-paced market led PPM Real Estate to make the strategic decision to sell the Property Management division’s portfolio and allow the brokerage side of the business to continue its focus on sales, leasing, consulting and the development of Commercial Real Estate. After months of interviews and negotiations, to insure the “right fit”, an agreement was reached with Sherman Commercial who took the reins on October 1, 2022, applying their 15 years of experience in commercial management and corporate retail site selection services.

Sherman Commercial now has offices in both York and Lancaster, with the Lancaster office in the same building as PPM Real Estate, at 233 N. Duke Street in Lancaster City.

Tracy believes that the key to success in real estate is to learn about the needs of clients and assist in the analysis of possibilities while the client is immersed in advancing their business operations.  After 30+ years, PPM Real Estate has determined that they will serve their clients best when the 24/7 requirements of property management are under the stewardship of Sherman Commercial Property Management. Both PPM and Sherman look forward to growing the relationships with past, existing, and new Clients through formidable partnerships and endeavors.

PPM will continue to serve the community in commercial sales, leasing, consulting, and small development projects.
